[ I'm here to visit and possibly whine about your kids.

Okay, no, but it has been some time and Obi-Wan has missed Anakin a lot. He has tried to give Anakin some space, to process and spend time with his loved ones. He doesn't want to intrude on that calm.

With that, he lingers a little beside the door before knocking. ]

[sandhate]

[ Anakin's consent was sent through the Force but when Obi-Wan lingers a bit longer, he impatiently opens the door with a wave of his hand. ]

Really, Obi-Wan. Now you think knocking is appropriate.

[ He shakes his head and returns to his vigorous ripping and tearing dismantling of junk. Surround him in an almost neat circle are pieces of plastic and metal with smaller pieces closer to him. ]

What is it?

[beardstrokes]

Nothing. Can't I take the time to visit my favourite Padawan?

[ Obi-Wan saunters in . . . only to stop a few steps before the piles of debris. ]

Anakin.

[sandhate]

[ He paused again and raised an eyebrow at Obi-Wan. Slowly, measured and weighted, he mirrors Obi-Wan's tone. ]

Obi-Wan.

[ He does happen to have a couch in his room and he tips his head helpfully towards it. Because he doesn't want Obi-Wan to ruin the system he's got going on. ]

[beardstrokes]

Dare I ask what you're trying to do?

[ There must be at least twenty or more robots in here. Obi-Wan isn't sure why he was surprised. ]

[sandhate]

[ He goes on to explain how he thinks there's a common pattern in small gears, small plastics, big metal parts and the relationship they have to certain common circuitry patterns and the way that somethings are designed this way and not the way that the usual droid from their universe are designed.

C3PO gets mentioned a few times. ]

-- I can't believe I'm going to say this, but I miss Threepio.

[beardstrokes]

[ He softens slightly at that. ]

It has been some time now. It's not all that surprising. There's a lot I miss from . . . home too.

[sandhate]

[ If he were here with Ahsoka, he might make a joke about Master Yoda and do that imitation that he's so fond of. But Obi-Wan would probably just scold him for it. ]

Oh, like what?

[beardstrokes]

[ Bant and Obi-Wan did it first. ]

Oh, like old friends. Things I shouldn't take for granted. Perhaps another meal at Dex's.

[sandhate]

When I think of someone who takes things for granted, you're the last person to come to mind.

[ He chuckles and toss his wrench at the mention of Dex's ]

I can't even remember the last time we went to Dex's. I wouldn't mind a gartro omelet right now.

[beardstrokes]

I'm sure I have my moments.

[ He huffs a little. ] Maybe I won't even make fun of his cooking.

[sandhate]

Like your former padawan?

[ He tossed a small piece of plastic at Obi-Wan's chest. ]

Hey, maybe Dex hugs you as pay back for making fun of his cooking.

[beardstrokes]

[ He catches it easily, sparing it a glance. ]

Good thing I never really use my lungs.

[sandhate]

Lungs, ribs, spine. Dignity. He definitely knows you're practically allergic to physical affection.

[beardstrokes]

I am not allergic. Simply not predisposed to it.

[ His grand total of hugs is two or three. Probably. ]

[sandhate]

[ A beat ]

So, allergic.

[beardstrokes]

I wasn't aware I had to explain the definition of allergies to you, Anakin.

[sandhate]

[ A short laugh. ]

I wasn't aware you were defensive about it, Obi-Wan.

[beardstrokes]

I didn't think I needed to defend myself on account of physical contact.

[sandhate]

That's probably the problem in the first place. You don't think about it at all.

[ swiftly change subject so he gets the last words!! ]

C'mon, are you really here because you miss me or is there something else?

[beardstrokes]

[ Amused, but softer. ]

I guess that would come as a surprise.

[ Jedi do not admit to such things, after all. ]

[sandhate]

[ He just gives Obi-Wan a look, caught between disbelief and a mirror of Obi-Wan's gentle amusement. ]

I'm right here, Master. You don't have to miss me.

[beardstrokes]

. . . You're right.

[ He coughs lightly, changing the subject. ]

So. I assume you'll be busy with your projects.

[sandhate]

It's just something to do. Padme has her ship duties and cooking, Ahsoka's busy bothering other people, and you... meditate, I assume. I have to have something while I'm stuck in the slowest space travel in my life.

[ he shouts the last part to no one in particular, hoping that atroma is listening ]

[beardstrokes]

[ He raises an eyebrow at that melodrama. ]

Well, I've had a few people approach me to teach them more about the Jedi. One little girl in particular was quite insistent.
